Photo gallery: Royal jubilees throughout the years

On 2 to 6 June, people across the United Kingdom will be celebrating as Queen Elizabeth II becomes the first British monarch to reach her Platinum Jubilee, marking 70 years of her reign. While the Queen is the longest-reigning British monarch, other monarchs have reached significant jubilees. Here’s a selection of our favourite photos from the archive showing how some of our ancestors celebrated royal jubilees.
