My Grandparents\u2019 War<\/em><\/a> is a Channel 4 TV series, similar to Who Do You Think You Are?<\/em>, in which celebrities discover the stories of their grandparents\u2019 experiences during the Second World War<\/a>.<\/p>\n The first episode of My Grandparents\u2019 War<\/em> will be broadcast on Channel 4 at 9pm on Thursday 15 September.<\/p>\n The first episode of My Grandparents\u2019 War<\/em> follows Game of Thrones<\/em> star Kit Harington, who discovers his paternal grandfather\u2019s extraordinary involvement in one of the 20th century\u2019s most controversial spying operations. It\u2019s not the first time Harington has dived into his family history on TV. In 2017, he played Robert Catesby, one of the alleged leaders of the Gunpowder Plot and his own distant ancestor, in the BBC drama Gunpowder<\/em>.
