Leading family history website Findmypast<\/a> is offering free access to millions of its family history records to mark the 80th<\/sup> anniversary of D-Day<\/a> on 6 June 2024.<\/p> Family historians will be able to search all Findmypast\u2019s records for free, apart from the 1921 census<\/a>.<\/p> The free records include military records, parish records, census records<\/a> before 1921 and Findmypast\u2019s complete collection of over 79 million old newspaper<\/a> pages.<\/p> The offer will run from 10am on Thursday 6 June 2024 to 10am on Monday 10 June 2024.<\/p> Jen Baldwin, Research Specialist at Findmypast said: “80 years on from D-Day and the stories of service and sacrifice remain extremely poignant and relevant to us today.
